G-Dragon of BIGBANG is drawing attention after hitting Like on Cha Eun-woo’s tax-evasion apology post.
Amid ongoing tax-evasion allegations, Cha Eun-woo issued another apology on April 8 via Instagram.
He wrote, "I sincerely apologize for disappointing and confusing many people, including fans, due to the controversy over my taxes related to me," adding, "I respect the National Tax Service’s procedures and results, and I have paid all related taxes to prevent any further confusion." He continued, "If there were areas I failed to check thoroughly, the responsibility lies entirely with me."
On that apology post, G-Dragon pressed Like, showing public support for Cha Eun-woo.
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo was previously notified by the Seoul Regional National Tax Service of an additional tax assessment of 20 billion KRW. Authorities reportedly viewed that he established a corporation to avoid taxes and took issue with him benefiting from the lower corporate tax rate compared to the personal income tax rate.
