Actors Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won are set to spark an unpredictable, viral ‘love-hate romance.’
On the 13th, the TVING original series Yumi’s Cells Season 3 (hereafter ‘Yumi’s Cells 3’) unveiled playful new stills of Yumi (Kim Go-eun) and Soon-rok (Kim Jae-won) waging a hilarious tug-of-war over bungeoppang (a fish-shaped pastry).
The stills capture Yumi and Soon-rok locked in a tense standoff over a single pastry. In particular, Yumi’s desperate, pleading look as she clasps her hands in front of Soon-rok—who’s holding the rare ‘strawberry cream bungeoppang’—delivers both laughs and a curious sense of tension. Soon-rok’s unreadable poker face, followed by Yumi’s immediate disappointment, heightens curiosity about what explosive events will unfold between them. Yet in the next photo, Yumi somehow snatches the bungeoppang while Soon-rok looks visibly flustered, doubling the fun of their chaotic showdown.
The production team of ‘Yumi’s Cells 3’ shared, “With Soon-rok— the man who shakes up Yumi’s peaceful daily life— entering the picture, even the Cell Village erupts into chaos. Please look forward to an off-the-charts love-hate romance between Yumi, who still finds love difficult, and Soon-rok, a homebody and strict principlist, from the very first moment they meet.”
Meanwhile, ‘Yumi’s Cells 3’ drops early on TVING with two episodes every Monday at 6 p.m. KST starting today (the 13th), and airs on tvN with one episode every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. KST.
