The filming location of MBC’s hit K-Drama Perfect Crown is going viral after fans realized it’s the same spot BTS used for their 2019 ‘Summer Package’ shoot.

In the April 10 premiere of Perfect Crown, Awon Old House appeared as the private residence of Grand Prince Ian (played by Byeon Woo-seok). The elegant setting—blending classic hanok charm with modern sensibilities—instantly drew attention, and fans quickly connected the dots: the very same house had been a filming site for BTS’s ‘2019 Summer Package.’

The backdrop, Oseong Hanok Village, attracts over 10,000 visitors a month. Nestled between Jongnamsan and Seobangsan like a natural screen, the village boasts clear streams and the scenic Oseongje reservoir.

Previously, BTS showcased a deeply Korean aesthetic here—wearing modernized hanbok and posing with traditional elements like the gat (traditional hat), fans, roof tiles, and wooden floors—for the ‘2019 Summer Package in Korea’ preview video.

Meanwhile, Perfect Crown sparked buzz right out of the gate with strong ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, it topped its time slot with 8.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 7.8% nationwide for Episode 1, then rose to 10.1% in the metro area and 9.5% nationwide for Episode 2.
