Japanese idol group Cutie Street is continuing its upward momentum with the release of a Korean-language version of its breakout hit.
According to live entertainment brand Rivet on the 10th, Cutie Street dropped the Korean version of its signature track ‘Is Being Cute Not Enough?’ (かわいいだけじゃだめですか?) at midnight across major music platforms.
The original song gained strong traction through TikTok challenges and social media trends, helping position the group as a fast-rising name in J-pop. Known for their Harajuku-inspired, playful aesthetic and catchy sound, Cutie Street has built a distinct identity that resonates with younger audiences.
The Korean version maintains the song’s original tone while adapting the lyrics for a more natural sing-along experience for Korean listeners, keeping its recognizable charm intact.
Rather than a simple remake, the release reflects the group’s growing engagement with Korean fans. During their first solo concert in Korea last month and a performance on ‘M COUNTDOWN,’ the members already performed portions of the song in Korean, drawing a strong response.
Since their debut, Cutie Street has steadily gained global Gen Z support and established themselves as part of the broader ‘kawaii culture’ wave. This release further strengthens their presence in the Korean market while building anticipation for future activities.
Meanwhile, Cutie Street is set to meet fans in Korea on July 25–26 at Sejong University’s Daeyang Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
