Beloved actor Kim Seon-ho, who has dominated both the stage and variety shows, is officially returning to the small screen.
On May 14, the team behind tvN's new drama Uiwon-nim-i Bouhasa (hereafter "UiBoSa") confirmed the casting of Kim Seon-ho and Kim Yoon-seok.
'UiBoSa' is a high-stakes "soul alliance" project about a top-tier political mastermind, Congressman Gu Young-jin (played by Kim Yoon-seok), who becomes a ghost and travels to the past, and Cha Jae-rim (played by Kim Seon-ho), a rookie Grade-9 civil servant who knows nothing about politics. As the unlikely duo protect each other and rewrite fate, the series—based on a hit web novel—promises fierce battles in the political arena and a cathartic life reset.
Kim Yoon-seok plays Gu Young-jin, a kingmaker at the heart of power who gets embroiled in corruption and meets a tragic end. After becoming a ghost, he teams up with Cha Jae-rim to leap back into the past and charge once more into the center of politics. He shared his excitement: "I'm thrilled to work with outstanding actors and staff. I'm happy to have found a great project, and I'll give it my all to leave viewers with an unforgettable afterglow."
Kim Seon-ho portrays Cha Jae-rim, who dives into the political battlefield alongside the ghostly strategist Gu Young-jin. Once a youth content with a simple, ordinary life, Cha Jae-rim's world is upended by Gu Young-jin's sudden appearance. Kim Seon-ho said, "It's truly an honor to join respected actors on such a good project. The script is fun, and the set is a joy, so I'm excited to see how the series turns out. Meanwhile, 'UiBoSa' is targeting a broadcast in the first half of 2027.
