Shocking career move and perfect timing: Leo (Jung Taek-woon) of VIXX — now an acclaimed musical theater star — has signed an exclusive contract with Sublime, just weeks before the ‘Yumi’s Cells’ musical opens.
On the 14th, Sublime announced its exclusive deal with Jung, stating, "We won’t hold back in offering full support as a steadfast partner so Jung Taek-woon — who has built a singular identity across music and acting — can let his limitless potential shine even brighter."
Jung debuted with VIXX in 2012 and earned massive love as a top-tier "concept idol," flawlessly pulling off intense concepts with hits like 'On and On' and 'Shangri-La.' As a soloist, he showcased his songwriting and composing chops through albums 'CANVAS,' 'MUSE,' and 'Piano man Op. 9,' cementing his status as a singer-songwriter. In February, riding strong fan support, he successfully wrapped VIXX’s full-group fan concert, proving his unwavering devotion to team activities.
On stage, he has headlined major productions since 2014, starting with Full House and continuing through Mata Hari, Frankenstein, Elisabeth, and Monte Cristo, earning a reputation as a musical actor with both ticket power and acting prowess.
Marking a fresh start under his new agency, Jung will meet audiences as Cell 109 in the musical Yumi's Cells, which opens on June 30.
Meanwhile, Sublime — now home to Jung — also represents Ki Eun-se, Nana, Hyeri, and Lim Soo-hyang.
