After two past DUI controversies, actor Ahn Jae-wook—who sparked major backlash yet still won the Grand Prize at the 2025 KBS Drama Awards last year—makes a headline-grabbing return to the musical stage with 'Let Me Fly'.
On the 10th, the musical Let Me Fly unveiled a star-studded casting lineup for its third season.
Let Me Fly follows Nam-won, who suddenly turns 70 one night in 1969 under a bright full moon due to a strange radio frequency, and his desperate struggle to return to the past. The story tenderly intertwines the journeys of Old Nam-won and Sun-hee with Young Nam-won and Jeong-bun across past, present, and future.
Anchoring the show as Old Nam-won are new cast members Ahn Jae-wook and Lee Hee-jun. Ahn returns to the stage for the first time in about three years, while Lee—fresh off ENA's hit drama The Scarecrow—steps onto a musical stage for the first time in 14 years since 2012, skyrocketing anticipation.
As Sun-hee, Bae Hae-sun—who has proven her versatile range across stage and screen—joins in her stage comeback. Oh Eui-shik and Kim Ji-hyun, who shined in the 2020 tryout and the 2022 premiere, also return, with veteran actor Yoon Gong-ju taking on Sun-hee as well.
In the roles of Young Nam-won and Jeong-bun, Ahn Ji-hwan and Na Ha-na—who have been with the project since its 2019 development phase—are confirmed to star. Lee Hyeong-hun and Hong Ji-hee also reprise their roles as Old Nam-won and Jeong-bun, promising impeccable onstage chemistry.
Notably, this third season welcomes a wave of fresh faces, including Yoon So-ho, Yoon Jae-ho, Lee Soo-bin, and Park Seul-gi, injecting new energy into the production. Among them, Yoon Jae-ho, Lee Soo-bin, and Park Seul-gi turned heads after beating roughly 200:1 odds in an open audition held last December.
Captivating audiences with an emotional storyline that traverses past and present, Let Me Fly runs from October 6 to January 3, 2027, at Doosan Art Center's YeonGang Hall.
