Actor Lee Jong-suk and singer-actress IU have reportedly ended their relationship four years after going public.

On the 10th, IU's agency EDAM Entertainment told multiple outlets, "The two recently broke up," adding, "They decided to remain good colleagues."

Their connection goes back to 2012. At the time, Lee Jong-suk and IU co-hosted Inkigayo, forming their bond on set. After roughly a decade as industry colleagues, they became a couple in 2022, went public with their relationship, and drew massive attention.

However, as their individual schedules got busier, they reportedly spent less and less time together.

Following the split, both plan to focus on their main careers. Lee Jong-suk is gearing up for the release of the Disney+ original series The Remarried Empress. He has also confirmed his appearance in Iseop's Romance, based on a hit web novel.

After wrapping Perfect Crown, IU is pouring her energy into a new album. This September, she will hold a concert at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex to meet fans.

Having evolved from longtime colleagues to lovers, Lee Jong-suk and IU have ended their four-year public relationship and will remain supportive senior and junior colleagues.
