TVXQ member U-Know Yunho got real about marriage and dating.
On the July 20 broadcast of the SBS variety show uh, but like, seriously!, U-Know Yunho, Sunmi, and Jonathan appeared as guests.
During the show, Tak Jae-hoon was telling 27-year-old Jonathan that he should be dating when he suddenly asked Yunho, "Did you date at 27?" Yunho shocked everyone by replying, "I actually informed my company that I was going to get married at 27."
Explaining why he considered marriage at the time, Yunho said, "My parents got married at 27, so I declared that I would get married at 27 like them." He recalled, "Producer Lee Soo-man advised me, 'Marriage is great, but it’s better to have kids a little later.'" He then added his current thoughts on marriage: "If the chance comes, I want to try it. When I look at my nieces and nephews, my heart wavers."
The conversation then turned to his dating history. When Tak Jae-hoon asked, "Have you ever been dumped by a woman?" Yunho confessed, "I was dumped four times by the same woman." He added, "In my view, the worst kind of man is a busy man. As an idol, you end up traveling overseas a lot. Being quietly there for someone when something happens matters, but realistically, I couldn’t do that well."
When Lee Su-ji asked, "So were you a bad boyfriend, then?" Yunho admitted, "I was really a bad boyfriend." He continued, "These days, video calls are easy, but back then even that wasn’t simple," expressing his regret toward his former partner.
Asked whether the woman was a celebrity, Yunho answered, "I’ll leave it to your imagination," fueling even more curiosity.
