Actor Ji Chang Wook is going viral after starring in an ad that even stunned his own fans.
On the 12th, production team Dolphin Kidnapping Crew uploaded SK Telecom’s ‘T Roaming’ commercial on their official YouTube channel.
The clip spread fast online for one reason: Ji Chang Wook’s so-bad-it’s-good transformation. Kicking off with the line, "Alright, the trip starts now," he begins morphing like an anime hero. Beams shoot from his eyes, he reappears in flashy costumes, and the over-the-top visuals make it impossible to look away.
By the end, Ji Chang Wook is promoting the mobile service in a cartoonish outfit, cracking fans up all over again. Viewers reacted, saying, "Even Ji Chang Wook works this hard," "This is a legendary so-bad-it’s-good ad," and "I burst out laughing at the sheer energy."
After the ad dropped, Ji Chang Wook posted on the fan-messaging app High-End: "Thanks to SKT, a lot of friends are reaching out… A close hyung even asked, 'Nothing happened to you, right?'" sending fans into laughter.
