OMEGA X member Junghoon is leaving the group.
On June 1, agency IPQ announced, "Junghoon has concluded his official activities as a member of OMEGA X," adding that after deep discussions over his accumulated health issues and future path, they decided on his departure after comprehensively considering the continuity and future direction of OMEGA X.
Junghoon also shared his thoughts on Instagram. He wrote, "Since my debut on April 19, 2019, so much has happened. There were shining moments on the stages I dreamed of since I was young, and there were times that felt frustrating and overwhelming," adding, "These seven years will remain moments I’ll never forget and memories that sting my heart." He continued, "Through all of it, FOR X were always with me. Because of you, I could shine and stand back up again," expressing his gratitude to fans.
IPQ further explained that this decision came after lengthy discussions with Junghoon and the members, adding, "The remaining members will continue to uphold the name OMEGA X and will do their very best to repay fans with even better music and performances."
Meanwhile, born in 2000, Junghoon debuted in 2019 with ENOi and re-debuted with OMEGA X in 2021. He is now leaving the team after five years.
