'Wild Gray', a representative well-made musical from Daehakro, successfully concluded on the 17th.

Set against the backdrop of late 19th century London, constrained by traditions and norms, 'Wild Gray' is an original musical centered around Oscar Wilde, who gained public attention for publishing the radical novel 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'.

The story delivers a profound impression through the narratives of Oscar Wilde, who dreams of freedom between art and reality, Alfred Douglas (Bosi), who resembles Dorian Gray in the novel, and Robert Ross, who admires Wilde and stands by his side. Particularly, the lyrics based on Oscar Wilde's letters from prison and his works moved the audience's hearts and left a lingering impact after the performance.

The production has received high acclaim since its first season for its beautiful numbers, captivating choreography, and lively performances by a live band composed of piano, violin, and cello. This season saw the addition of new cast members including Jumin Jin, Hong Gi-beom, Jo Min-ho, Park Jun-hyung, and Shin Soo-bin, who created a fantastic synergy with returning actors such as Jung Min, Kim Kyung-soo, Jung Hwi, and Kim Ri-hyun, maintaining a sold-out run right up to the final performance.

Audience reactions included sentiments like "A work that highlights love and art," "A chance to hear beautiful music alongside string instrument melodies," and "A stage where lyrical music and the performers' acting harmonized perfectly," conveying both appreciation and a sense of longing.

Having proven the strength of K-Musical with its expansion into Japan earlier this year, 'Wild Gray' successfully wrapped up its domestic run, reaffirming its distinction as a well-made original musical once again.
