A man who appeared on the dating reality show 'I Am Solo' has been sentenced to probation for sexual assault charges.

According to legal sources, on the 19th, the 11th Criminal Division of the Seoul Western District Court (Presiding Judge Kim Woo-hyun) sentenced Mr. A (35), who was arrested and indicted for quasi-rape, to 1 year and 6 months in prison, with a 3-year probation. He is also ordered to attend 40 hours of sexual violence treatment lectures and face a 5-year employment restriction at institutions related to children, adolescents, and disabled individuals.

Mr. A was charged with raping a woman in her 20s around 3:30 AM on June 21 in a parking lot located in the Seogyo-dong area of Mapo, Seoul. The court stated, "Mr. A appears to have had intercourse with the victim, who was visibly intoxicated and showed reluctance by pushing him away," adding that "the victim seems to have suffered considerable mental shock and was injured during the process of resisting."

However, the court continued, "He shows remorse and acknowledges the crime, and the victim does not wish to pursue further action, suggesting he has had the opportunity for reflection during his 3 months in detention."

Mr. A gained attention by appearing in SBS Plus·ENA programs such as 'I Am Solo' and 'I Am Solo: Love Continues'.
