Jisoo, a member of the group BLACKPINK, has set a new record in the global music market.
The music video for her latest release, 'EYES CLOSED', which was unveiled on the 10th, has taken the top spot on YouTube Music's Worldwide Trending chart in 74 countries, garnering significant attention.
'EYES CLOSED' has reached 21st place on Spotify's Top Songs Global chart, and it has also secured the #1 spot on iTunes' Top Singles chart in 40 countries, as well as the top daily selling single in China's QQ Music and KuGou, dominating major music streaming platforms domestically and internationally.
Notably, with the release of this new single, Jisoo has surpassed a total of 1 billion streams on Spotify for all her released songs (solo basis). This record was achieved in just 925 days with only 8 songs, making her the first Korean female solo artist to reach this milestone.
'EYES CLOSED' tells the story of two people who choose to love again after experiencing hurt. This new track features Jane from the British band One Direction, and their unique chemistry has drawn enthusiastic responses from fans.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, of which Jisoo is a member, has been on their world tour 'DEADLINE' since July.
