Group 2PM member and actor Ok Taekyeon is getting married.
On November 1, his agency 51K announced, “We would like to share the news of actor Ok Taekyeon’s marriage,” stating, “Ok Taekyeon has promised to share his life with someone he has been dating for a long time.”
The agency added, “The wedding will take place next spring privately with close family and friends in Seoul,” and requested understanding, noting, “As his partner is a non-celebrity, further details will remain undisclosed.”
On the same day, Ok Taekyeon posted a handwritten letter on Instagram to personally share the news.
“I wanted to be the first to share this news with my fans who have always cared for and supported me,” he wrote. “It has already been 19 years since I debuted with 2PM. I have been able to come this far thanks to your constant support. Hence, I felt it was only right to share my news first with those who have always supported me.”
He continued, “I have promised to spend my life with someone who has understood and believed in me for a long time. We plan to be a strong support for each other as we walk through life together,” adding, “I will do my best to repay the love and trust you have shown me as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taekyeon.”
Fans responded with heartfelt messages such as “Congratulations on your marriage!” and “Wishing you happiness!”
Meanwhile, Ok Taekyeon confirmed his relationship with his non-celebrity girlfriend back in 2020.
