News that Netflix has rewarded Sony Pictures, the producer of the globally popular animation K-pop Demon Hunters (hereafter KDH), with a bonus came as the top focus in global K-snapp from November 13 to November 19.

Major North American media outlets, including The Hollywood Reporter, reported that Netflix has given Sony Pictures a $15 million (approximately 21.9 billion KRW) bonus as a reward for KDH's record-breaking success and explosive popularity, which has generated a hot response not only domestically but also internationally among fans.

However, this news did not see significant achievements on the official global K-snapp X account, but KDH-related stories have been generating a lot of buzz, particularly through ongoing quiz events.

Released on Netflix in June, 'KDH' is an animation centered around K-pop and exorcism, featuring many Korean creators; however, it is produced by American company Sony Pictures. The story follows Huntress members Lumi, Mira, and Joy, who combat evil spirits backstage by saving the world with their music, while confronting their traumas.

Though it has been five months since its release, KDH has surpassed 300 million accumulated views on Netflix, and its theme song 'Golden' has maintained its popularity, topping the main Billboard Singles Chart 'Hot 100' for eight weeks. Recently, news of a confirmed sequel has heightened fans' expectations even further.
