Comedian Park Soo-hong's wife, Kim Da-ye, revealed that she had to undergo a drug test due to the extreme rumors surrounding her.
On the 27th, a video featuring the couple, Park Soo-hong and his wife, was uploaded on Lee Ji-hye's YouTube channel. The couple first met at a charity event in 2019. Park Soo-hong recalled, "She seemed to have no interest in me at all." Kim Da-ye added, "I barely watched TV and wasn't someone that people my age liked," causing laughter. However, Park Soo-hong consistently expressed his feelings, leading them to develop a romantic relationship.
During their dating period, Park Soo-hong had to endure significant personal struggles, and as a result, Kim Da-ye also became a target of attacks. She expressed, "I was only thinking that I had to help, but as the situation became public, I was targeted just for being by his side."
During this time, all sorts of rumors circulated about Kim Da-ye. Park Soo-hong stated, "There were rumors that my wife was using drugs, that she received a car from an unknown businessman, and that she had been gambling in Las Vegas, USA." He emphasized, "But my wife does not have a U.S. visa and has never set foot in the U.S." He added, "You could hear people saying 'drugs' from behind when we were walking down the street," and lamented, "Ultimately, we both submitted urine and hair test results to the police."
Kim Da-ye recalled that her lawyer said, "Before the test results even came out, she said, 'This body shape is not that of a person who does drugs.'" She explained, "I was under so much mental stress that I started eating only sweets, which actually made me gain weight." Regarding the rumors of sponsorship, she shared her disbelief, saying, "My lawyer said, 'I've seen many people who take sponsorships, but you don't have that image at all.'"
The rumors even affected Kim Da-ye's family. Park Soo-hong revealed, "My father-in-law underwent eye surgery due to stress, and my mother-in-law developed panic disorder," unable to hide his remorse. He conveyed his gratitude, saying, "Through it all, my wife stayed by my side until the end. She even started working at a law firm to handle the defamation case together."
Ultimately, the couple overcame a 23-year age difference and married in 2021, and they now have a harmonious family with their daughter, Jai.
