Producer Teddy has been recognized for driving K-pop's global expansion.
On December 10, Teddy received the Prime Minister's Commendation in the Overseas Expansion Merit category at the 2025 Korea Content Awards held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, the event honors those who created outstanding content over the past year and contributed to the growth of Korea's content industry and exports.
Teddy was selected for his contributions to spreading Hallyu, boosting content exports, and advancing international cultural exchange.
He has composed numerous hits for BIGBANG, 2NE1, and BLACKPINK, establishing himself as a flagship K-pop producer. After founding THEBLACKLABEL, he discovered distinctive artists and further solidified the label's musical identity by debuting Miyao and All Day Project (hereafter “Oldef”). In particular, Teddy composed several tracks for the OST of Netflix's K-pop animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters.
THEBLACKLABEL shared, “Global interest in K-culture is the entertainment industry's joy. Thanks to those who recognize its value, even better content can be created. THEBLACKLABEL will continue to work hard for the advancement of K-content.”
