Arno, a member of rookie group ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1), suffered an injury just before debut.
WAKEONE announced on its official social media recently, "After wrapping official debut preparations on the 7th, Arno misstepped on a staircase while moving between schedules and visited the hospital. Following a detailed examination, he was diagnosed with a fracture and received a specialist's opinion that he should refrain from choreography for the time being."
The agency added, "Both the artist and our company are deeply regretful to face this situation right before debut, and we will prioritize the artist's health and safe recovery above all else."
They continued, "After ongoing discussions with the artist and respecting his wish to meet fans, he will participate flexibly in first mini album promotions excluding performances, depending on his condition."
WAKEONE said, "We ask for your understanding for causing concern with this sudden news to fans who have waited a long time for ALPHA DRIVE ONE's debut. We will create a stable environment and provide our utmost support so Arno can focus on treatment and recovery."
Updates on Arno's treatment progress and future activities will be provided later.
Meanwhile, ALPHA DRIVE ONE is an eight-member rookie boy group formed through Mnet's survival audition program Boys II Planet, and they are set to debut today (the 12th) with their first mini album 'EUPHORIA'.
