Just two days before the comeback show, BTS leader RM suffered an ankle injury — but he’s showing unwavering determination to step on stage.
According to BigHit Music on the 20th, RM injured his ankle during concert rehearsals and received detailed examinations and treatment at a hospital. Doctors diagnosed “accessory navicular sprain with a partial ligament tear and a talus contusion,” advising him to minimize movement for at least two weeks. Despite the setback, RM is reportedly determined to perform his comeback stage at the symbolic venue of Gwanghwamun.
BigHit Music stated, “We will prioritize medical advice by minimizing RM’s movements, and parts of the performance will be restricted.” Still, RM expressed his intent to join the stage within safe limits to stay connected with fans. The agency asked for fans’ understanding, saying they “deeply regret causing concern due to the injury,” and promised full support for RM’s complete recovery.
Meanwhile, at 8 p.m. on the 21st, BTS’s comeback performance, 'BTS Comeback Live: Arirang,' is set to take place at Gwanghwamun Square.
