Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung's new romance finally premieres today, and buzz is exploding over the pair's on-screen chemistry.

Premiering today (the 16th) on Netflix, the series Can This Love Be Translated? follows multilingual interpreter Joo Ho-jin (played by Kim Seon-ho), who is assigned to interpret for global top star Cha Mu-hee (played by Go Youn-jung), sparking an unexpected story between the two. (Known in Korea by the nickname "Isatong.")

Kim Seon-ho plays Joo Ho-jin, a multilingual interpreter fluent in several languages but hilariously clumsy when it comes to the language of love. As an interpreter who speaks six languages, including English, Japanese, and Italian, he balances a composed professionalism with a tender awkwardness around Cha Mu-hee, adding compelling depth to the character.

To embody a multilingual interpreter, Kim undertook a rigorous preparation process. At the production presentation, he shared, "I play a character who speaks six languages in the project. I repeatedly memorized the script to capture the emotions, and I studied grammar whenever I had time. I practiced for about four months, and I kept practicing throughout filming," revealing his dedication to the series.

Thanks to that effort, Joo Ho-jin arrives fully formed—his fluttering emotions are set to resonate with viewers worldwide. In the previously released stills, everything from his styling to his visuals drew reactions like "He's literally Joo Ho-jin," while his shifting feelings in work and love were conveyed through subtle expressions and eyes alone, heightening anticipation.

The trailer also teased Kim Seon-ho's fully immersed rom-com performance, drawing major attention. Beyond his chemistry with Cha Mu-hee, the gradual changes in Joo Ho-jin's heart come through in Kim's delicate acting and voice, raising curiosity about where the story will go.

Calling the show a "gift," Kim said, "It finally feels like the day has come to give you this present." From multilingual scenes to visuals and classic rom-com beats, he's ready to meet viewers with a project that condenses his charms into one package.

On premiere day, netizens reacted with excitement: "I'm so excited," "I wish it were 5 already," and "I can't wait to see their chemistry."

Meanwhile, 'Can This Love Be Translated?' starring Kim Seon-ho premieres today at 5 p.m. KST on Netflix.
