Actress Choi Yeo-jin gave a candid look into her unique life seven months into marriage, winning fans over with her unfiltered charm.
On the January 16 broadcast of KBS1's cultural program Achim Madang, the 'Couples Party' segment featured comedian Jo Hye-ryun and Choi Yeo-jin, who shared updates on life after marriage and their recent activities.
When the host mentioned, "Your wedding caused a big stir," Choi recalled, "We held our ceremony on an electric-boat cruise over the Bukhan River. It was the first-ever electric boat wedding in Korea, so people found it fascinating." She added with a laugh, "At the time, Jo Hye-ryun unnie sang 'Anakkana' as the congratulatory song and completely blew the roof off the venue."
Choi revealed that she and her husband, Kim Jae-uk, are currently building their newlywed home. "Because the house isn't finished yet, we go back and forth between a caravan and a tent. So I jokingly call myself a 'homeless newlywed'," she said. She flashed her signature bright smile and added, "It feels like we're heading out on a trip every day, so I'm really enjoying it." When Jo Hye-ryun teased, "Did you even wash today?", Choi shot back, "Of course. Do I smell?" and pretended to sniff herself, sending the studio into laughter.
Meanwhile, Choi recently took on the play Educating Rita, broadening her acting horizons into theater. "The only thing missing from my filmography was theater. This time, I wanted to stand on a stage with real substance," she explained.
Choi, who debuted as a supermodel in 2001, has solidified her acting career through dramas like I'm Sorry, I Love You, The Invisible Man, Choi Jang-soo, I Need Romance, On the Way to the Airport, and Miss Monte-Cristo.
