Actor Park Jung-min has reignited buzz by finally opening up about the viral Blue Dragon Film Awards stage with singer Hwasa, candidly revealing what was really going through his mind in that moment.
On February 3, Park appeared on Chungju City's official YouTube channel and shared a range of behind-the-scenes stories, from his school days to the Blue Dragon Film Awards performance.
When the host, Chungju Man, joked, "These days, you seem to be moving into the handsome category," Park laughed, replying, "I'm kind of heading that way." The host immediately followed up, "Did that start after Hwasa's stage?" smoothly bringing up the Blue Dragon performance.
Addressing the much-discussed look of him gazing at Hwasa, Park said, "I didn't know the camera was on me. I only looked because I thought she might be cold since she was barefoot." He added, "It was only our second time meeting after the music video shoot. The performance itself was so striking," emphasizing that his reaction was completely natural in the moment.
When Chungju Man asked about the song's surge on the charts after the stage, "The streaming revenue must be huge — aren't you jealous?" Park burst into laughter, saying, "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't." He then joked, "But I never got a text offering to treat me. I think Ms. Hwasa might be a little intimidated by me.
