Actress Song Ji-hyo celebrated surpassing 100,000 subscribers on YouTube by unveiling her Silver Play Button — then shocked fans with a candid Q&A, opening up about the struggles behind the lingerie brand she runs.
On the 5th, Song Ji-hyo uploaded a Silver Play Button unboxing video to her channel, proudly revealing the award for hitting 100,000 subscribers and thanking fans for their support.
With her trademark honesty, she laughed, saying, "I thought you got the Silver Button at 500,000." She added, "I started YouTube because I wanted a more natural way to communicate with fans and show my real self," and shared her ambition: "I want to keep sharing fun stories and reach 1 million subscribers."
During the Q&A, she also revealed her everyday tastes. She said she often watches animal videos, and picked 'true crime' as the content she searches for the most. She even named criminologist Kim Bok-joon as her ideal type, adding, "I really want to invite him as a guest on my channel someday," drawing attention.
But when the topic of her lingerie brand came up, the mood shifted. Song Ji-hyo paused and said, "If I talk about it now, I might cry," surprising those around her.
She confessed, "Our products are truly good, but it upsets me that many people still don’t know about us," candidly sharing her worries as a business owner. In the early days, there were times when they received just a single order in an entire day. Although sales have been growing little by little recently, she emphasized that she’s still determined to raise the brand’s visibility.
