Comedian Jung Jun-ha, in a candid phone call with junior Heo Kyung-hwan, delivered blunt advice and opened up about his honest feelings toward Yoo Jae-suk.
On February 2, a video was posted on Heo Kyung-hwan's YouTube channel featuring a call between Heo and Jung Jun-ha as they traded stories. Over the phone, the two discussed on-air worries, variety-show strategy, and tough-love, real-world advice between senior and junior colleagues.
Jung started by critiquing Heo's YouTube hosting style. Jung said, "If you just throw out a question and end it, it's not fun. You need stories you can pull from everyday situations," adding, "When things are tough like now, that's exactly when you have to do even better." When Heo admitted, "These days people cheer me on when I'm out, and I'm scared I'll mess up my response," Jung advised, "That's when you have to move more and create episodes."
The conversation naturally shifted to their 'Infinite Challenge' days. Recalling a night out at a club with Yang Se-hyung, Jung said, "We must have had hundreds of thousands of photos taken then, but not a single one leaked. How grateful is that?" He laughed and added, "At least we can still walk around like this."
Yoo Jae-suk's name came up next. Jung surprised Heo by saying, "Jae-suk was a pitiful kid back then and he still is." He continued, "Wherever he goes, traffic gets paralyzed. Even when it's just the guys, it's hard to move around freely. There's so much he has to shoulder. It's a really tough life." He then added his trademark heartfelt advice: "We should recognize how thankful we should be that we can still move around relatively freely like this."
As for the possibility Heo had hoped for — becoming a regular on You Quiz on the Block (hereafter 'You Quiz') — Jung was firm. "Stop worrying about 'You Quiz.' I think that chance has already passed. Clinging to it will only look bad," he said. "Right now you're getting attention on Hangout with Yoo, so it's important to ride that momentum well," he added, offering a reality check.
