The group BTS has set another monumental record.
On the 4th, their label Big Hit Music announced that the music video for BTS's hit song 'Dynamite' has surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube, marking a new milestone.
This is the first time for a BTS music video to achieve this, accomplished about 5 years after its release on August 21, 2020. The music video had previously recorded 1.9 billion views on December 19 last year.
'Dynamite' is a bright and cheerful disco-pop healing song, and it's also the first English song attempted by BTS. The music video is characterized by its catchy rhythm and joyful yet dynamic performance, emphasizing a vibrant concept.
With 'Dynamite', they gained recognition in various global music awards. They became the first Korean artists to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 main song chart in the USA, maintaining the top position for a total of 3 weeks. Additionally, they won 'Best Song' at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards and 'Top Selling Song' at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, solidifying their presence in the global music market.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently working on an album in the U.S., aiming for a full group comeback in the spring of next year.
