BTS just notched another massive milestone. As of March 21, BigHit Music confirmed on March 23 that the group’s 2020 title track ‘Life Goes On’ from their seventh mini-album ‘BE’ has surpassed 1 billion streams on global platform Spotify.

This pushes BTS’s tally to a total of six group tracks with over 1 billion streams on Spotify. Released in November 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, ‘Life Goes On’ resonated worldwide with its comforting message that life carries on. Jungkook even took the director’s chair for the music video.

The feat is especially historic because the song is primarily in Korean. ‘Life Goes On’ became the first predominantly Korean-language track in Billboard chart history to hit No. 1 on the main singles chart, the ‘Hot 100.’

Meanwhile, BTS made their comeback on March 20 with their fifth studio album ‘ARIRANG.’
