ADOR’s lawsuit seeking 43 billion KRW in damages against former NewJeans member Danielle and former CEO Min Hee-jin is set to begin in court.

The Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 31 will hold the first preparatory hearing at 10 a.m. on March 26.

ADOR filed the lawsuit citing Danielle’s attempt to terminate her exclusive contract and alleged defamation following public statements related to the NewJeans contract dispute.

During an emergency press conference last November, Danielle said, “My trust in ADOR has completely collapsed,” and called for termination of her contract. In response, ADOR stated that she had “entered into agreements that conflict with her exclusive contract or carried out independent entertainment activities, damaging NewJeans’ reputation.”

ADOR subsequently filed a lawsuit seeking contractual penalties and damages totaling 43.1 billion KRW against Danielle and former CEO Min Hee-jin.

Meanwhile, Min Hee-jin, who previously prevailed in a lawsuit against HYBE, stated at a press conference last month, “I propose to forgo 25.6 billion KRW in exchange for immediately halting all civil and criminal lawsuits and bringing every dispute to a close.”
