Comedian Se-ho Jo recently drew attention by candidly opening up about his current situation.

In the newly released Netflix variety show Screwballs: Season 4, a class president election played out under a 'Top High School Girl Contest' concept. Members appeared in a classroom dressed in school uniforms, fully in character as students, serving up laughs with their over-the-top personas.

During the election, Se-ho Jo leaned into his circumstances to win votes with tongue-in-cheek promises. "I relatively have more time than you," he said, adding, "I can take care of personal errands like banking, house chores, or receiving packages for you." He continued, "I can always pick up the phone, and I can even do designated driving," keeping the self-diss going.

His comments weren’t unrelated to a recent controversy. Last year, Jo was embroiled in rumors of ties to organized crime after a photo surfaced of him with a person identified as a gangster. Some even alleged he helped promote the individual’s restaurant and accepted money or valuables.

Jo’s side explained that the person was simply an acquaintance he met through events and denied any receipt of money or business involvement. Even so, as the controversy grew, he stepped down from the variety shows he had been appearing on.
