The film The King’s Warden has drawn over 12 million moviegoers in just 37 days since its release, landing at No. 20 on the all-time box office chart.

Distributor Showbox announced this on its official social media accounts on the afternoon of the 11th. This surpasses the 2024 film Exhuma’s final tally of 11.91 million admissions.

The King’s Warden (hereafter 'King’s Warden') crossed 10 million admissions on the 6th, the 32nd day after release, and then topped 11 million by the 8th, rapidly accelerating its momentum.

Showbox said, "Thanks to the unwavering support from audiences, following Exhuma we are now recording the highest audience numbers for a Korean film," adding, "We sincerely thank everyone who came to see 'King’s Warden'."

Lead actors Yoo Hae-jin and Park Ji-hoon, along with key cast members and director Jang Hang-jun, will host a stage greeting at Megabox COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam District on the 17th to thank fans for their support.
