Singer Kim Wan-sun and her label have been forwarded to prosecutors on allegations they operated without registering as an agency.

On the 12th, Sports Kyunghyang reported that the Yongin Dongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi determined the allegations under the Act on the Development of the Public Culture and Arts Industry were valid and sent the case to the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office without detention.

According to the outlet, Kim established her one-person agency 'KW Sunflower' in 2020 and was listed as the corporation's representative, but she is accused of running it for five years without registering for the popular culture and arts management business. The issue surfaced last September, and after the legal team confirmed the prolonged non-registration was due to administrative oversight, they reportedly began the administrative registration process.

Under the Act on the Development of the Public Culture and Arts Industry, any corporation or sole proprietor with employees engaging in entertainment management must register as a popular culture and arts planning business with the relevant authority. Violations are punishable by up to two years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won.
