On the 12th, the official Instagram accounts of Showbox and CGV posted photos with the caption, "Sincere congratulations, Director Jang Cheon-man," a playful nod to his ten-million milestone.
The photos show director Jang Hang-jun, who helmed the film The King’s Warden. Beaming, he holds a celebratory cake topped with candles reading “1000,” symbolizing the 10-million admissions mark.
Fans reacted with comments like, "Jang Cheon-man has a nice ring to it—let’s make it official," and "Congrats on becoming a ten-million director."
Meanwhile, The King’s Warden surpassed 12 million moviegoers on March 11, its 36th day in theaters. On the 17th, the director and cast will greet audiences in a special thank-you stage event.
