Shocking preview: Actor Park Hae-joon teases gritty brotherly chemistry with Koo Kyo-hwan in JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday K-Drama, igniting hype ahead of its premiere.
On the 13th, the team behind JTBC’s upcoming Sat-Sun series Modeuga Jasin-ui Mugachiham-gwa Ssaugo Itda (hereinafter Mojamussa) unveiled stills of Park Hae-joon as Hwang Jin-man, a former poet.
Hwang Jin-man is the older brother of Hwang Dong-man (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), who has dreamed of becoming a film director for 20 years. Jin-man once wrote poetry but collapsed after facing the depths of his own ineptitude. He now gets by with welding and farm work, numbing himself with alcohol and TV to survive each day. Whether sitting alone at the table staring into space or cooling off in a cabbage field under the blazing sun, his daily life lays bare a profound solitude.
Park Hae-joon’s Hwang Jin-man speaks little, shut inside his own world. In contrast, Koo Kyo-hwan’s Hwang Dong-man rattles off long monologues to hide his inferiority and anxiety. Even while living under the same roof, the two brothers wrestle with their own sense of worthlessness — a premise that promises heavy emotional weight and taut tension throughout the drama.
The production team stated, "Park Hae-joon deepens Hwang Jin-man’s solitude and firmly anchors the narrative. His synergy with Koo Kyo-hwan — who will showcase brotherly love as each fights worthlessness in their own way — is elevating the show’s completeness. Please look forward to it."
Meanwhile, 'Mojamussa' premieres on April 18 at 10:40 p.m. (KST).
