Musical actor Han Ji-sang has addressed past allegations that he sexually harassed a female fan.

On March 13, Han posted a video on his YouTube channel explaining the timeline of the controversy and presenting his position on the matter. He said he chose to speak directly because he believed distorted claims about him continued to circulate.

According to Han, he first met the woman, identified as A, in 2017 through an introduction from a senior in the theater industry. He stated that the relationship began as a personal meeting between two adults rather than as a fan interaction.

Han said there had been mutual interest at the time and that some physical contact occurred, but he maintained that it was consensual. He explained that he later decided to end the relationship due to differences in values.

He further stated that during 2019, while he was performing in a musical, he received numerous messages from A and believed the situation was later described publicly as sexual harassment.

In the video, Han also shared portions of a recorded phone call with A. In the recording, A is heard saying that the situation was not one-sided sexual harassment.

Han also said that during the dispute, A requested financial compensation or that their relationship be publicly acknowledged.

Han previously filed a complaint against A for attempted extortion and coercion, but prosecutors later closed the case without charges.

He stated that he has not been convicted or punished for any sexual crime and said he plans to pursue legal action against what he described as malicious comments and the spread of false information.

Han Ji-sang had recently been appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Acting and Arts at Sungkyunkwan University. However, the appointment was later canceled following criticism from students related to the past controversy.
