Actor Ahn Hyo-seop, who voices Jinu in the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters, rode the film’s surging popularity straight onto the red carpet at the 98th Academy Awards.

On the 15th (local time), Ahn attended the Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, as an official invitee. It marked his first time stepping onto the Oscar red carpet since his 2015 debut.

Wearing a black tuxedo and exuding calm confidence, Ahn drew major attention under the spotlight.

Meanwhile, the animated film KPop Demon Hunters follows Huntrix, a girl group of demon hunters, as they battle the evil-spirit boy group Lionboys to save the world. Ahn voices Jinu, a member of Lionboys, earning international attention.

The film won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at the Golden Globes in January, and last month made K-pop history at the Grammys by taking home 'Best Song Written for Visual Media.' It continued its streak at the Oscars with a Best Animated Feature win.
