Band QWER donated the proceeds from a flea market to support pediatric patients.
On the 16th, according to Asan Medical Center in Seoul, QWER delivered 30 million won to assist children receiving treatment.
The donation came from flea market proceeds raised together with fans and will be used to improve treatment environments for pediatric patients.
The initiative began after a young fan hospitalized at the children’s hospital reached out. To encourage the fan battling illness, QWER visited the Children’s Hospital at Asan Medical Center. The members spent time participating in art activities with children undergoing treatment for pediatric cancer.
QWER said, “We are grateful to be able to help, even a little, with the children’s treatment,” adding, “We sincerely hope the kids overcome their illnesses and achieve their dreams.”
Asan Medical Center plans to use the funds to improve clinical facilities and the medical environment for pediatric and adolescent patients, as well as to support home-care services for critically ill children and psychological healing programs.
