Ahead of its April 10 premiere, tvN’s new observational reality Gugidong Friends dropped a first teaser that lays bare the housemates’ raw emotions — from aching loneliness to unexpected tears and crackling tension.
Set to premiere on April 10, Gugidong Friends follows same-age singles who have lived alone for years as they move into one shared home and open up their everyday lives. Comedian Jang Do-yeon, actors Lee Da-hee, Choi Daniel, Jang Keun-suk, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Kyung Soo-jin start life together in the Gugidong house, revealing new relationships and routines.
The teaser captures six housemates candidly sharing why they came. Lee Da-hee admits, “I’m not sure living alone still works for me,” opening up about her loneliness. Choi Daniel talks about the silence that hits in an empty home. Jang Do-yeon echoes the sentiment, confessing a vague fear of being sick and having no one there.
They also voice real worries about sharing a home with strangers after getting used to solo life — but the house quickly fills with laughter and noise. One moment shows members startled as Choi Daniel suddenly tears up; another captures Jang Do-yeon, Lee Da-hee, and Kyung Soo-jin at the table, crying together — spiking curiosity over what happened.
We also see six people dancing to music and hyping up the mood, a subtle spark between Jang Keun-suk and Kyung Soo-jin, and Ahn Jae-hyun reading the room in between — teasing a flood of diverse episodes and chemistry. The production team says the show “will resonate with the generation living alone, capturing real-life stories and a new form of relationships.”
Meanwhile, Gugidong Friends premieres April 10 at 8:35 p.m. KST.
