Singer Hwasa has officially been named the new exclusive face of Mexicana Chicken.
Aligning with its 2026 slogan, 'Re:Born,' Mexicana Chicken announced plans for a major relaunch—adding a sophisticated, dynamic vibe to its familiar, friendly image. On the 17th, Marketing Division Head Kim Yong-eok said, "We determined that Hwasa’s confident, self-directed charm and trend-leading image best align with the values of change and innovation Mexicana pursues," adding, "Through Hwasa, we plan to reach consumers as a younger, more stylish brand."
Widely known as the entertainment industry’s "mukbang goddess," Hwasa previously helped popularize items like gopchang (grilled beef or pork intestines) and gim bugak (a crispy fried seaweed snack). Her new partnership with Mexicana Chicken is expected to showcase the brand’s taste and quality to the public in an even more compelling way.
Targeting Millennials and Gen Z (the MZ generation), Mexicana Chicken plans to roll out unique events and promotions with Hwasa to further boost brand awareness.
