The drama starring Park Eun-bin is kicking off official promotions with a press conference.
According to OSEN on the 17th, the Netflix series The WONDERfools will hold a production press conference at a venue in Seoul on May 12, unveiling the project for the first time. However, Cha Eun-woo — who was recently embroiled in a ₩20 billion tax evasion controversy — is currently serving in the military and will not be attending.
Back in January, after tax evasion allegations against lead actor Cha Eun-woo surfaced, some speculated the release might be delayed. However, the originally mentioned Q2 rollout remains in place, and the premiere date has reportedly been set for May 15. The series will be released simultaneously in more than 190 countries worldwide.
Meanwhile, The WONDERfools is a superpowered comic action-adventure set in 1999, when doomsday movements were on the rise. It follows a group of lovable neighborhood misfits who unexpectedly gain powers and battle a villain threatening the peace of Haeseong City.
