“Global rom-com king” Ahn Hyo-seop is back as young farmer Matthew Lee, and fans are already buzzing with anticipation.
On the 19th, SBS’s new Wednesday–Thursday drama Sold Out Again Today (hereafter ‘Sold Out Again Today’) unveiled still cuts of perfectionist farmer Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo-seop).
Like a streusel-topped soboro bun—tough on the outside yet irresistibly soft inside—Matthew Lee embodies that “crispy outside, tender inside” charm. A beloved fixture of Deokpung Village, he spends his days helping the elders with endless errands and is the world’s only farmer cultivating the rare White Blossom Nuri mushroom. At the same time, he’s the CEO of a nature-derived ingredients company and a cosmetics R&D developer, juggling a schedule so packed that even ten bodies wouldn’t be enough.
In the released stills, Matthew sports a practical farmer look—straw hat and towel included—driving a cultivator and tending to mushrooms, showcasing a vividly authentic country life. Then, swapping into a crisp shirt, he exudes the commanding charisma of a nature-based ingredients CEO, instantly grabbing attention. The stark contrast between his prickly farmer side and cool-headed executive persona only heightens expectations.
Meanwhile, ‘Sold Out Again Today’ premieres on April 22 at 9 p.m. KST.
