Saturday Night Live Korea Season 8 is kicking off a fresh start, revealing four brand-new crew members.

Premiering on Coupang Play on the 28th, Saturday Night Live Korea Season 8 confirmed the addition of rookie cast members Ahn Joo-mi, Lee Ara, Jung Chang-hwan, and Jung Hee-soo — standouts who survived fierce competition — and hype is building fast. Each brings distinct charm and skills that promise to inject new energy into the show.

Born in 2002, Ahn Joo-mi is a former child actor with solid acting chops and striking on-screen presence. During auditions, her quick-witted improv and rapid-fire reactions won over the judges, showcasing boldness rarely seen in rookies. A graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, Lee Ara is a multi-hyphenate talent skilled in English rap, hip-hop, and tap dance, hinting at a refreshing image with an unexpected twist.

Jung Chang-hwan, an actor trained at the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA), earned recognition with roles in Gyeongseong Creature Season 1 and Dear. Hongrang. With inventive ideas and steady acting, he is expected to command the live comedy stage as well. Also joining is Jung Hee-soo, who gained popularity on YouTube with the "Hee-soo-hyung" character, drawing attention for his signature comedic flair and surprising versatility — raising expectations for a potential breakout character.

The new faces will team up with mainstay Shin Dong-yup and returning favorites Jung Sang-hoon, Jung Sung-ho, Kim Min-kyo, Ahn Young-mi, Jung Yi-rang, Lee Soo-ji, Kwon Hyuk-soo, Kim Won-hoon, Ji Ye-eun, and Kim Kyu-won to deliver an upgraded level of laughs.

Meanwhile, singer-turned-entertainer Tak Jae-hoon has been confirmed as the first host to open Saturday Night Live Korea Season 8. The show premieres at 8 p.m. on the 28th.
