With director Jang Hang-jun’s film The King’s Warden crossing 10 million admissions and shining a new spotlight on Rebound, lead actor Lee Shin-young has shared his thoughts ahead of its re-release.

On the 1st, Lee Shin-young, who plays Ki-beom in Rebound, released photos from the shoot through his agency and reflected on the news of the re-release.

Lee said, "Around the film’s first anniversary, we held a special GV event to thank everyone, and hearing about this re-release made me both surprised and excited," adding, "Just like the title, I hope we can 'rebound' and meet many audience members again. I hope this gives everyone a chance to feel the same emotions they felt when it first opened."

Rebound is based on the true story of Busan Joongang High School’s basketball team, which created a sensation at the 2012 National High School Basketball Championship. Lee Shin-young plays captain and ace guard Cheon Ki-beom, earning attention for his nuanced portrayal of youthful bravado and wounds, responsibility, and a fresh leap forward; he was also nominated for Best New Actor at multiple film festivals.

Meanwhile, Rebound is set to move audiences once again through its re-release, hitting theaters nationwide on the 3rd.
