Shocking and candid: Former Lovelyz member Mijoo went viral after trying a ‘bride care’ beauty program for an April Fools’ concept on her YouTube channel—openly sharing her ideal type, saying she’s ready for blind dates anytime, and revealing she prefers a simple proposal and a small wedding.
On the 1st, Mijoo dropped a wedding-themed video on her YouTube channel. As soon as she appeared, staff shouted, "Bride, make your entrance," and Mijoo, half-excited and half-flustered, quipped, "Am I getting married today?" She kept the jokes coming with, "So are we going to find my groom now?" showing off her trademark quick wit.
The shoot was an April Fools’ Day event, with the team rolling out a full ‘bride pampering’ concept. Mijoo was briefly baffled, but when she heard, "Bride care is the most expensive and the best care," she lit up with interest, cracking everyone up. She even asked, "Do you do laser or injection treatments too?"—a hilariously real reaction that had the set in stitches.
The hands-on session included a lymphatic face massage and an enzyme steam therapy. Worried about her usual facial asymmetry, Mijoo tried a face-focused massage and said, "I can see the results right away," clearly satisfied. After the steam, she joked, "I think I lost 500 g," surprised by how different she felt.
Mijoo also spoke frankly about marriage. "My ideal type is a bit picky," she admitted. "I like someone kind, who speaks nicely, eats well, is manly, and loves me a lot." She added, "I’m always open to blind dates," publicly signaling she’s down to date.
On proposals, she said, "No need for anything grand. I like it when someone just sincerely says, 'Will you marry me?'" As for the ceremony, she prefers something modest. She even shared a down-to-earth wish for her future in-laws: "I want to call them Mom and Dad."
