SHINee’s Minho is set to deliver a heartwarming, tear-jerking moment as he visits, for the first time, the lodgings of his father, who currently manages K League 2 side Yongin FC.

On the April 3 broadcast of MBC’s variety show I Live Alone, Minho personally drops by to cheer on his dad, saying, “I wondered how he’s been living,” while carefully checking everything from the bedding to the fridge and wardrobe.

Having lived apart from his family for about 18 years since debuting with SHINee, Minho comes face-to-face with parts of his father’s daily life he never knew and admits, “It made my heart ache,” his eyes welling up. The raw emotions he felt in his dad’s space are expected to come through as-is.

Minho then takes his father by the hand to an unexpected spot for some one-on-one time. He even kicks off a playful “forced gift time,” drawing laughs as the two make new memories together.

At dinner, their striking resemblance shines. “The older I get, the more I think I take after him,” Minho says, noting their similarities. He grills meat himself and serves it onto his father’s plate, showing his warmth and care.

The duo’s candid father-son talk will air on April 3 at 11:10 p.m.
