BTS announced full refunds for an official tour T-shirt after a quality issue sparked backlash.
On April 7, BIGHIT MUSIC posted a refund notice via its official social media, stating that among BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' official merchandise, the "[GLOBAL EXCLUSIVE] S/S T-SHIRT (CHARCOAL)" is affected.
The label said, "A quality issue was identified during the manufacturer's production process, and as an immediate measure we have halted sales." They added that the item is excluded from all sales, including the official pop-up store and on-site sales at 'ARIRANG in Goyang'.
Customers who purchased the product online or offline will receive full refunds with no returns required. Detailed procedures and timelines will be announced in a follow-up notice once finalized.
The company also noted they are closely investigating the root cause with the manufacturer and will tighten quality control standards to prevent recurrence.
Meanwhile, BTS will kick off their world tour 'ARIRANG' with concerts in Goyang from April 9 to 12.
