With EXO member Do Kyung-soo’s 'Popcorn' surging back up the charts, the long-running reign of 'Cherry Blossom Ending' has finally come to an end.

On the 8th, music platform FLO reported that, heading into spring, its analysis shows a multi-layered listening trend where various spring season songs are rising simultaneously.

The shift reflects warmer weather, more outdoor activities, and the height of wedding season, which are all expanding demand for seasonally themed music.

For years, band Busker Busker’s 'Cherry Blossom Ending' held a monopoly on the spring music market—earning nicknames like the 'cherry blossom zombie' and 'cherry blossom pension.' This year, however, new releases, classic season staples, and cross-generational hits are coexisting on the charts.

'Popcorn,' a track from Do Kyung-soo’s third solo mini album, sits at the center of this change—rising to No. 1 two years after release and emerging as a new spring powerhouse. Its upbeat vibe has gone viral as a popular 'groom’s entrance song' at weddings, driving a surge in plays at ceremony venues.

Also holding strong are IU’s 'Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms,' LUCY’s 'Flowering,' and BOL4’s 'Bom.'
