NCT DREAM is officially shifting to the 'Six Dream' system (6 members + DREAM).

On April 8, Mark ended his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment and withdrew from both NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.

Following this, the Japanese fan club NCTzen DREAM-JAPAN changed its website banner to a photo of Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung without Mark, moving to erase traces of the former 'Seven Dream' (7 members + DREAM) lineup.

Earlier on April 3, SM Entertainment stated, "We held in-depth discussions with Mark over a long period regarding his future direction, and by mutual agreement decided to conclude his exclusive contract as of April 8." The company added, "NCT 127 will continue with seven members — Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan — and NCT DREAM will continue with six members — Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung."

Mark debuted with NCT in 2016 and has been active across units NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.
