In a headline-making comeback, BTS reunited as a full group for the first time in about six years and opened the curtain on a globe-spanning world tour for fans worldwide.
On the 11th, at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex, BTS launched the 'BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG'. Marking their full-group return after six years, the new tour will begin in Goyang and expand to Tokyo, North America, Europe, South America, and across Asia, for a total of 85 shows in major cities around the world. This sets a new record for the most dates on a single tour by a Korean artist.
As their first full-group concert in years, fan excitement was intense. Including opening day, roughly 132,000 ARMY gathered in Goyang over two days. Fans who couldn’t secure tickets listened from outside the venue to share in the atmosphere, while many international fans arrived dressed in hanbok or with purple-themed accessories.
Taking the stage, the members greeted fans with heartfelt messages. Jungkook said, "Unlike yesterday, the weather is fantastic. It might feel cold, but we’ll heat things up for you," raising the energy in the venue. Suga added, "We prepared a lot to show you something new. It might feel unfamiliar, but please enjoy it until the end."
The show centered on their new album 'Arirang' and featured a 360-degree stage inspired by the Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, along with modern reinterpretations of 'tal' (traditional masks) and 'Ganggangsullae' (a traditional circle dance), amplifying the beauty of Korean aesthetics.
Leader RM said, "We’re all over thirty now. These are decisions we’ve made together over fifteen years, and they’re for the long run. Please be generous with us, watch our changes, and trust us," asking fans to look forward to BTS’s new chapter.
Starting with the Goyang concert, BTS will embark on a long journey to connect deeply with fans around the world.
