The highly anticipated pairing of breakout actor Kim Jae-won and "Romance Queen" Kim Go-eun is finally about to be unveiled.
Premiering on the 13th, the TVING original series Yumi's Cells Season 3 (hereafter "Yumi's Cells 3") is a "cell-stimulating, relatable romance" that follows Soonrok (played by Kim Jae-won), a rookie editor who suddenly appears in the peaceful daily life of Yumi (Kim Go-eun), now a star author.
The biggest question this season is how Yumi and Soonrok's relationship will evolve. Soonrok, played by Kim Jae-won, is a PD in the editorial department at Julie Publishing—sweet-faced but unflinchingly sharp with his "fact bombs." Behind his cool, rational composure lies the unexpected charm of a devoted homebody, and he's set to breathe new life into Yumi's "cell village," which has hit a slump.
Notably, the show's signature blend of live action and 3D animation shines again this season. Through a new romance, Yumi takes another step forward, promising viewers both warm empathy and laugh-out-loud moments.
The stacked cast also raises expectations. Jeon Seok-ho appears as the acting editor-in-chief at Julie Publishing, joined by Choi Daniel and Jo Hye-jung, whose distinct characters enrich the story. Beloved faces from past seasons—Sung Ji-ru, Yoon Yoo-sun, and Lee Yu-bi—will make special appearances, delighting fans.
The global rollout is going full swing. "Yumi's Cells 3" will debut on TVING in Korea and simultaneously reach viewers across 17 countries and regions in Asia-Pacific, and on Disney+ in Japan.
Meanwhile, "Yumi's Cells 3" drops two episodes early every Monday at 6 p.m. KST on TVING, and airs on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. KST.
