BPM (Big Planet Made Entertainment), led by PIAC Group chairman Cha Ga-won, issued a hardline statement amid escalating controversies.

On the 10th, Cha Ga-won’s legal representative, attorney Hyun Dong-yeop, declared, "The essence of this case is an illegal attempt by Normus, Cha Jun-young, and The Fact to collude and acquire BPM through a hostile takeover." He continued, calling it "a coordinated effort to shake management through false criminal complaints and a media war," and vowed aggressive legal action.

Addressing its dispute with Normus, the lawyer said it began with a breach of contract. "Due to clear violations such as the Fromm service outage, the relationship of trust collapsed," he stated, adding, "We are holding the advance payment as collateral until damages and a dispute settlement are finalized." Regarding fraud allegations over the advance, he countered, "It is merely the rightful exercise of our legal rights, and claims to the contrary distort the core issue."

The background of the hundreds-of-billions-of-won fraud complaint, they argued, also stems from an attempted takeover. "It was a fabricated complaint conspired by Cha Jun-young and Normus to seize the company and its artists," Hyun said, criticizing them for "spreading falsehoods and manipulating public opinion to justify a hostile acquisition."

BPM also took issue with certain media reports. A court previously granted an injunction requested by Cha Ga-won to prohibit articles by The Fact, and BPM said it plans to file a damages suit worth KRW 100 billion against the outlet.

They further explained the company’s management situation: "Attacks by external forces and malicious reporting have undermined corporate credibility and worsened financing conditions," the lawyer said. "The recent issue of unpaid settlements to artists resulted from distorted cash flow under this external pressure."

Regarding the ongoing investigation, the team emphasized innocence. "The materials obtained through the search and seizure are standard contract documents, and there is ample evidence proving our innocence," Hyun asserted. "We will fully cooperate with the forensic process to clarify the facts."

Finally, BPM declared, "We will respond with zero tolerance to the spread of false information and defamation," adding, "We will take all possible civil and criminal measures to normalize the company and protect our artists."

Meanwhile, BPM is a label under One Hundred Label, an entertainment agency co-founded in 2023 by MC Mong and Cha Ga-won. Recently, several celebrities at the company—including Lee Seung-gi, Taemin, VIVIZ, EXO-CBX, and some members of The Boyz—have sought to terminate their exclusive contracts, signaling that the turmoil surrounding the agency may continue for the time being.
